DYNAMICS AXAPTA Evolution

 

 Microsoft Dynamics AX

                                         It is the one of the Microsoft ERP software. It is geared in the midsize organisation and large size organisation. Microsoft dynamics AX, also known as Dynamics 365.It is a high-class software used in business management.

This software comprises of four major components:

1.     The database server

2.     The file server

3.     The application server

4.     The clients

Evolution of dynamics 365 (1998-2020)

        Axapta 1.0

                          Microsoft Dynamics AX, originally named IBM Axapta was first released in 1998.

               It supported both SQL server and Oracle server.  

    Notable features were financial, trade, inventory management, logistics and production.  

        Axapta 2.0

                          Axapta 2.0 was released in 1999.

                          Notable new features were Project accounting module, Warehouse management (WMS), External OLAP, Optional pack concept, ActiveX support and COM-connector.

                          In the Axapta 2.1 which released in 2001 that has a web tool called customer self service (CSS).AOS is introduced in this to make ERP as full tier ERP system in the market.

       Axapta 2.5

                           Axapta 2.5 is released in 2000 with a complete web application development environment, the project module, Banking and OLAP.

       Axapta 3.0

                           Axapta 3.0 is released in 2002 with a Microsoft Enterprises portal, new intercompany collaboration functionality, rebuild user security and system configuration.

       Axapta 4.0

                           Axapta 4.0 is released in 2006 and the next version in 2008.It is the version that to enter the existing Microsoft technology.

        Axapta 4.1

                            Axapta 4.1,brought more improvement in UI. It adds the concept of both enterprise portal ad window clients. It is also known as AX5.

        Axapta 6  

                             AX6 is introduced in 2011,it includes improvement of user interface, general applications and it has added specific solution for manufacturing and public sector. 

         Axapta 7 

                              Microsoft dynamics AX is widely known as AX7, released in 2016.It is a platform of completely new UI delivered through a browser-based on HTML client.

                           In 2017 Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was released to better meet the requirements of any enterprise business organization.

                           Now Microsoft Dynamics has become the most used and effective tool ERP tool in the managements.

Direct delivery -AX 2012 R3

  Delivering a product to customer directly from vendor.   First create the sales order to the customer, as usual the sales order process should be followed.     After selecting the sales order items, click the direct delivery option.     In the create direct delivery tab, select the vendor that is who you have to collect the product. And make sure the include box is filled.     After creating direct delivery, the message will be delivered as purchase order is created.     Then the purchase order tab opens, click the purchase order option and confirm it.               Then the sales order tab opens and confirm it and do the process until invoice ( both in sales and purchase order – alternatively)   After confirming the status will change into delivered.   After product receipt ,the purchase order status changes into received.               I...

Replacement order in SO

  First go through the return order and create a new return order. Sales and marketing - common - return order - all return order   Select the customer that you have to make the replacement order    Select the item from the sales order or u can enter directly .   Go through the update line for registration.   Select the disposition code: due to the return order you have to select replace code: Replace and scrap : Scrap the returned item & replace it with new item and credit the customer account. Replace and credit : Replace the returned item with new item and credit the customer account.     Go through the return line and click the replacement item .   Create the replacement item and fill the quantity that is required.   Then as usual sales order process should be done.
